The Dropbox Repository File Picker in Moodle 2.1.x before 2.1.9, 2.2.x before 2.2.6, and 2.3.x before 2.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to access the Dropbox of a different user by leveraging an unattended workstation after a logout.

The weakness was published 11/21/2012 by Alex as confirmed git commit (GIT Repository). The advisory is shared at git.moodle.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2012-5471 since 10/24/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. The requirement for exploitation is a simple authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.
