A vulnerability was found in CMS Made Simple up to 1.5.0 (Content Management System) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown function in the library lib/filemanager/imagemanager/images.php. The manipulation of the argument deld with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in lib/filemanager/imagemanager/images.php in CMS Made Simple (CMSMS) before 1.11.2.1 allows remote authenticated administrators to delete arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the deld parameter. NOTE: this can be leveraged using CSRF (CVE-2012-5450) to allow remote attackers to delete arbitrary files.
