Integer overflow in the qpid::framing::Buffer::checkAvailable function in Apache Qpid 0.20 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted message, which triggers an out-of-bounds read.
The weakness was published 03/13/2013 by Florian Weimer with Red Hat Product Security Team (Website). The advisory is available at svn.apache.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-4459 since 08/21/2012. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely.
