A vulnerability was found in LOCKON EC-CUBE 2.12.0/2.12.1/2.12.2/2.12.3/2.12.4 (E-Commerce Management Software). It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects the function lfCheckFileName. The manipulation of the argument image with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in the lfCheckFileName function in data/class/pages/LC_Page_ResizeImage.php in LOCKON EC-CUBE before 2.12.5 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary image files via vectors involving the image parameter to resize_image.php, a different vulnerability than CVE-2013-3654.

The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
