WordPress before 3.5.2 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via an oEmbed XML provider response containing an external entity declaration in conjunction with an entity reference, related to an XML External Entity (XXE) issue.

The weakness was shared 07/08/2013 as Bug 976784 as confirmed bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-2202 since 02/19/2013. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
