ProSoft RadioLinx ControlScape before 6.00.040 uses a deficient PRNG algorithm and seeding strategy for passphrases, which makes it easier for remote attackers to obtain access via a brute-force attack.
The weakness was presented 09/09/2013 by Lucas Apa with IOActive (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at ics-cert.us-cert.gov. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-2803 since 04/11/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1600 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
