A vulnerability was found in HP ProCurve Manager 3.20 (Router Operating System). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code block. The manipulation of the argument dir with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in GetEventsServlet in HP ProCurve Manager (PCM) 3.20 and 4.0, PCM+ 3.20 and 4.0, and Identity Driven Manager (IDM) 4.0 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) sort or (2) dir parameter.

The weakness was released 09/16/2013 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at zerodayinitiative.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-4809 since 07/12/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
