A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in TP-Link TL-SC3130G (Router Operating System) (version unknown). This issue affects an unknown function of the component File Upload. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. Unrestricted file upload vulnerability in cgi-bin/uploadfile in TP-Link IP Cameras TL-SC3130, TL-SC3130G, TL-SC3171, TL-SC3171G, and possibly other models before beta firmware LM.1.6.18P12_sign6, allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary files, then accessing it via a direct request to the file in the mnt/mtd directory.

The weakness was released 10/11/2013 (Website). The advisory is shared at coresecurity.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-2580 since 03/15/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1202 for this issue.
