A vulnerability was found in S9y Serendipity (Content Management System). It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file spell-check-savedicts.php. The manipulation of the argument to_r_list with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-79. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in spell-check-savedicts.php in the htmlarea SpellChecker module, as used in Serendipity before 1.7.3 and possibly other products, allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the to_r_list parameter.
The weakness was presented 11/05/2013 (oss-sec). The advisory is shared for download at openwall.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-5670 since 09/01/2013. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.

Upgrading to version 1.5.2 eliminates this vulnerability.
