The ExportAlphaQuantumType function in export.c in GraphicsMagick before 1.3.18 might allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via vectors related to exporting the alpha of an 8-bit RGBA image.

The weakness was shared 11/23/2013 (Website). The advisory is shared at sourceforge.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-4589 since 06/12/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
