A vulnerability has been found in Chamilo LMS up to 1.9.6 (Content Management System) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function check_user_password of the component Installation. The manipulation of the argument password0 with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in the check_user_password function in main/auth/profile.php in Chamilo LMS 1.9.6 and earlier, when using the non-encrypted passwords mode set at installation, allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the "password0" parameter.
