A vulnerability was found in NETGEAR RAIDiator 4.1/4.2.15/4.2.20/4.2.23 (Wireless LAN Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality in the library frontview/lib/np_handler.pl. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross-site request forgery vulnerability. Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in frontview/lib/np_handler.pl in NETGEAR ReadyNAS RAIDiator before 4.1.12 and 4.2.x before 4.2.24 allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of users.
The weakness was disclosed 12/12/2013 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at readynas.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-2752 since 04/02/2013. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
Upgrading to version 4.2.23 eliminates this vulnerability.
