CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

A vulnerability was found in RIM BlackBerry Enterprise Service up to 10.2.0. It has been classified as problematic. This affects some unknown processing of the component Logging. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a credentials management vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-255. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:

BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 before 10.2.1, Universal Device Service 6, Enterprise Server Express for Domino through 5.0.4, Enterprise Server Express for Exchange through 5.0.4, Enterprise Server for Domino through 5.0.4 MR6, Enterprise Server for Exchange through 5.0.4 MR6, and Enterprise Server for GroupWise through 5.0.4 MR6 log cleartext credentials during exception handling, which might allow context-dependent attackers to obtain sensitive information by reading a log file.

The weakness was disclosed 02/20/2014 by Thomas Brueckner and Oliver Schiemann with isec as KB35647 as confirmed knowledge base article (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at blackberry.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-1467 since 01/15/2014. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1552 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 72583 (BlackBerry Enterprise Server / Enterprise Service / Enterprise Server Express Information Disclosure (KB35647)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Windows.

The knowledge base article contains the following remark:

Mitigations are existing conditions that a potential attacker would need to overcome to mount a successful attack or that would limit the severity of an attack. Examples of such conditions include default settings, common configurations and general best practices. This issue is mitigated for all customers by the prerequisite that the attacker must gain access to the affected diagnostic logs. Typically, only the system administrator would have this access. The credentials are only logged in an error case and most server installations are unlikely to have this information logged. An attacker is not able to remotely trigger this error case and so would have no way to force the creation of the exception log. Additionally, the logs are historical in nature. As a result, logged information of this type may not be valid at the time that the log is read.

The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at X-Force (94055), Tenable (72583), SecurityFocus (BID 65609†) and Vulnerability Center (SBV-43337†). Be aware that VulDB is the high quality source for vulnerability data.
