A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in HP Linux Imaging and Printing Project up to 3.9.6 (Printing Software). This affects some unknown functionality of the component Printing. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a link following vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-59. base/pkit.py in HP Linux Imaging and Printing (HPLIP) through 3.13.11 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on the /tmp/hp-pkservice.log temporary file.
