A vulnerability was found in WellinTech KingAlarm and Event up to 2.0.1. It has been classified as critical. This affects some unknown functionality of the component Access Restriction. WellinTech KingSCADA before 3.1.2, KingAlarm&Event before 3.1, and KingGraphic before 3.1.2 perform authentication on the KAEClientManager console rather than on the server, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions and discover credentials via a crafted packet to TCP port 8130.

The weakness was published 01/15/2014 by Andrea Micalizzi with Zero Day Initiative (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at ics-cert.us-cert.gov. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2013-2826 since 04/11/2013. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
