The RMI interface in Cisco Secure Access Control System (ACS) 5.x before 5.5 does not properly enforce authorization requirements, which allows remote authenticated users to obtain superadmin access via a request to this interface, aka Bug ID CSCud75180.
The weakness was shared 01/16/2014 with Cisco (Website). The advisory is shared at tools.cisco.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-0649 since 01/02/2014. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. A simple authentication is required for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
