Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the StackIdeas Komento (com_komento) component before 1.7.3 for Joomla! allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) website or (2) latitude parameter in a comment to the default URI.

The weakness was published 01/30/2014 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at htbridge.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-0793 since 01/03/2014. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.

A public exploit has been developed by High-Tech Bridge SA and been published before and not just after the advisory. The exploit is available at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept.
