Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in IBM Financial Transaction Manager (Financial Software). Affected is an unknown function. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in the table-export implementation in the OAC component in IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) 2.0 before 2.0.0.3 and 2.1 before 2.1.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files via a modified pathname.
The weakness was released 02/01/2014 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2014-0830 since 01/06/2014.
