A vulnerability was found in Matthias Ettrich KDE up to 3.2.1. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown function of the component URI Command Handler. KDE Konqueror 2.1.1 and 2.2.2 allows remote attackers to spoof a legitimate URL in the status bar via A HREF tags with modified "alt" values that point to the legitimate site, combined with an image map whose href points to the malicious site, which facilitates a "phishing" attack.
The weakness was published 05/18/2004 by Drew Copley (http-equiv) (Website). The advisory is shared at securiteam.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2004-0527 since 06/03/2004.
