network.c in Aircrack-ng before 1.2 Beta 3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault) via a response with a crafted length parameter.

The weakness was presented 10/20/2014 by Nick Sampanis as "Aircrack-ng 1.2 Beta 3" multiple vulnerabilities as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-8324 since 10/17/2014. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
