The weakness was presented 11/17/2014 by Landon Fuller with Plausible Labs as HT6591 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at lists.apple.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2014-4458 since 06/20/2014. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
