A vulnerability has been found in Google Chrome 39.0.2171.45 (Web Browser) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the component PDFium. Buffer overflow in OpenJPEG before r2911 in PDFium, as used in Google Chrome before 39.0.2171.65, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted JPEG image.
The weakness was disclosed 11/18/2014 by Cloudfuzzer as Stable Channel Update, November 2014 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-7903 since 10/06/2014. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
