A vulnerability classified as critical was found in SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (Solution Stack Software) (version unknown). This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the component PI SDK XML Parser. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. The weakness was disclosed 10/22/2012 by Alexander Polyakov, Alexey Tyurin and Alexandr Minozhenko with ERPScan as DSECRG-12-038 as not defined posting (Website). The advisory is shared for download at erpscan.com. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. The attack can be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation requires a single authentication. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
