The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 79835 (Flash Player <= 15.0.0.239 Multiple Vulnerabilities (APSB14-27)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Windows. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 100219 (Microsoft Windows Update for Vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer (KB3008925)).
Upgrading to version 16.0.0.235 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability. Furthermore it is possible to detect and prevent this kind of attack with TippingPoint and the filter 19236.
