A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in MIT Kerberos 5-1.13 (Network Authentication Software). Affected is the function krb5_ldap_get_password_policy_from_dn of the component Named Ticket Policy Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-476. A NULL pointer dereference occurs when the application dereferences a pointer that it expects to be valid, but is NULL, typically causing a crash or exit.
