A vulnerability was found in IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager up to 6.2.2 (Directory Service Software) and classified as problematic. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in IBM Maximo Asset Management 6.2 through 7.5, as used in SmartCloud Control Desk, Tivoli Asset Management for IT, Tivoli Service Request Manager, Maximo Service Desk, and Change and Configuration Management Database (CCMDB), allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors.
The weakness was released 10/30/2012 as swg21615744 as confirmed bulletin (Website). The advisory is shared at www-01.ibm.com. The public release was coordinated with IBM. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2012-3313 since 06/07/2012. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
