security_taskgate in Apple OS X before 10.10.2 allows attackers to read group-ACL-restricted keychain items of arbitrary apps via a crafted app with a signature from a (1) self-signed certificate or (2) Developer ID certificate.

The weakness was disclosed 01/27/2015 by Vitaliy Toropov (PanguTeam) with Apple as HT204244 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-8831 since 11/14/2014. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
