A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel 3.1.8 (Operating System) and classified as problematic. This issue affects the function nft_flush_table of the file net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c of the component Netfilter. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a data processing vulnerability. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-1573 since 02/09/2015. The exploitation is known to be easy. Attacking locally is a requirement. Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. A possible mitigation has been published 5 months after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
