NetGear WG602 (aka WG602v1) Wireless Access Point firmware 1.04.0 and 1.5.67 has a hardcoded account of username "super" and password "5777364", which allows remote attackers to modify the configuration.
The bug was discovered 06/03/2004. The weakness was disclosed 06/07/2004 by Tom Knienieder (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lists.netsys.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-2556 since 11/21/2005. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
