A vulnerability was found in Wireshark (Packet Analyzer Software). It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component WCP Dissector. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 82523 (SuSE 11.3 Security Update : wireshark (SAT Patch Number 10444)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family SuSE Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 124504 (CentOS Security Update for wireshark (CESA-2015:2393)).
Upgrading to version 1.10.13 or 1.12.4 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
