Details
A vulnerability classified as very critical has been found in Pythonware Python Imaging Library up to 1.1.7 (Software Library). Affected is some unknown functionality. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Python Image Library (PIL) 1.1.7 and earlier and Pillow 2.3 might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in unspecified vectors related to CVE-2014-1932, possibly JpegImagePlugin.py.
