The ValidateUserLogon function in provider/libserver/ECSession.cpp in Zarafa 5.00 before 7.1.8 beta2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via vectors related to "a NULL pointer of the username."

The weakness was presented 04/28/2014 as Bug 1059903 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at bugzilla.redhat.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-0037 since 12/03/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
