Core FTP Server 1.2 before build 515 allows remote authenticated users to obtain sensitive information (password for the previous user) via a USER command with a specific length, possibly related to an out-of-bounds read.

The weakness was presented 05/01/2014 by Martin (Website). The advisory is shared for download at seclists.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-1443 since 01/14/2014. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. A single authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
