A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Mplayer2 (Multimedia Player Software) (unknown version). This vulnerability affects the function sub_read_line_sami of the file subreader.c. Stack-based buffer overflow in the sub_read_line_sami function in subreader.c in MPlayer, as used in SMPlayer 0.6.9, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a long string in a SAMI subtitle file.
The weakness was disclosed 06/11/2014 as confirmed git commit (GIT Repository). The advisory is shared for download at git.mplayer2.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2011-3625 since 09/21/2011.
