Unspecified vulnerability in NetIQ eDirectory 8.8.6.x before 8.8.6.7 and 8.8.7.x before 8.8.7.2 on Windows allows remote attackers to obtain an administrator cookie and bypass authorization checks via unknown vectors.
The weakness was disclosed 12/18/2012 by Positive Technologies with Positive Research as 7011538 as confirmed knowledge base article (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at novell.com. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with NetIQ. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2012-0430 since 01/09/2012. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1592 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
