A vulnerability was found in EllisLab ExpressionEngine. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in EllisLab ExpressionEngine before 2.9.1 allow remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) column_filter or (2) category[] parameter to system/index.php or the (3) tbl_sort[0][] parameter in the comment module to system/index.php.
The weakness was released 11/04/2014 by Alex (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at portcullis-security.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-5387 since 08/22/2014. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. The requirement for exploitation is a simple authentication. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
Upgrading to version 2.6.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
