A vulnerability has been found in MantisBT up to 1.2.0 (Bug Tracking Software) and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is the function projax_array_serialize_for_autocomplete. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the projax_array_serialize_for_autocomplete function in core/projax_api.php in MantisBT 1.1.0a3 through 1.2.17 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the "profile/Platform" field.
The weakness was disclosed 12/08/2014 with Offensive Security (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at mantisbt.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2014-9270 since 12/04/2014. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
