HSLFSlideShow in Apache POI before 3.11 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop and deadlock) via a crafted PPT file.

The weakness was released 01/06/2015 as Bug 57272 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at issues.apache.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-9527 since 01/06/2015. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
