A vulnerability was found in Zoho ManageEngine SupportCenter Plus up to 7.8. It has been classified as problematic. This affects an unknown function of the file WorkOrder.do. The manipulation of the argument attach with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in ManageEngine SupportCenter Plus 7.9 before 7917 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a ..%2f (dot dot encoded slash) in the attach parameter to WorkOrder.do in the file attachment for a new ticket.
The weakness was presented 01/13/2015 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at supportcenter.wiki.zoho.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-100002 since 01/13/2015.
