Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Save Filters functionality in the WP Slimstat plugin before 3.9.2 for WordPress allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the fs[resource] parameter in the wp-slim-view-2 page to wp-admin/admin.php.
The weakness was disclosed 01/21/2015 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at wpvulndb.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-1204 since 01/21/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

Upgrading to version 3.9.1 eliminates this vulnerability. Furthermore it is possible to detect and prevent this kind of attack with TippingPoint and the filter 19387.
