Unspecified vulnerability in the Server component in Oracle MySQL 5.1.66 and earlier, and 5.5.28 and earlier, allows remote authenticated users to affect availability via unknown vectors related to Server Optimizer.
The weakness was presented 01/15/2013 with Oracle as cpujan2013-1515902 as not defined advisory (Website). The advisory is available at oracle.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-0389 since 12/07/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. The requirement for exploitation is a simple authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
