A vulnerability was found in Avinu phpMoAdmin 1.1.2. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is the function saveObject of the file moadmin.php of the component Object. The manipulation of the argument object with an unknown input leads to a command injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-77. The saveObject function in moadmin.php in phpMoAdmin 1.1.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the object parameter.

The weakness was disclosed 03/12/2015 (oss-sec). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-2208 since 03/04/2015. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1202 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
