IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS) 3.4 before 3.4.0.32, 3.5 before 3.5.0.24, and 4.1 before 4.1.0.7 allows local users to obtain root privileges for program execution via unspecified vectors.

The weakness was published 03/23/2015 by Felix Wilhelm with ERNW (Website). The advisory is shared at www-01.ibm.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-0197 since 11/18/2014. The exploitation is known to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
