Affected by this issue is an unknown code block of the component Cloud Safe Update Service. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a untrusted search path vulnerability. Unquoted Windows search path vulnerability in the Foxit Cloud Safe Update Service in the Cloud plugin in Foxit Reader 6.1 through 7.0.6.1126 allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse program in the %SYSTEMDRIVE% folder.

The weakness was released 03/30/2015 by Aljaz Ceru (Website). The advisory is shared for download at foxitsoftware.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-2789 since 03/30/2015. The attack needs to be approached locally. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
