Cisco IOS XE before 3.7.5S does not properly handle route adjacencies, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (device hang) via crafted IP packets, aka Bug ID CSCub31873.
The weakness was disclosed 04/03/2015 with Cisco as 38193 as confirmed vulnerability alert (Website). The advisory is available at tools.cisco.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-0685 since 01/07/2015. The attack needs to be done within the local network. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
Upgrading to version 3.7.5S eliminates this vulnerability.
