A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Oracle MySQL Enterprise Monitor up to 2.3.19/3.0.18 (Database Software). This issue affects an unknown part of the file s:token/ of the component Service Manager. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross-site request forgery vulnerability. Apache Struts 2.0.0 through 2.3.x before 2.3.20 uses predictable <s:token/> values, which allows remote attackers to bypass the CSRF protection mechanism.
The weakness was published 04/14/2015 by Philippe Arteau with Groupe Technologies Desjardins as Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - April 2015 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at oracle.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-7809 since 10/03/2014. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
