The bug was discovered 05/19/2015. The weakness was published 05/19/2015 by Atte Kettunen (Cloudfuzzer) with Zero Day Initiative as Stable Channel Update, May 2015 as confirmed release notes (Website). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-1251 since 01/21/2015. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
