A vulnerability was found in Synology Photo Station 6.2-2858 (Network Attached Storage Software). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file /photo/webapi/photo.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was disclosed 05/25/2015 as confirmed mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is available at seclists.org. The exploitation is known to be easy.
