Application Store in Apple iOS before 8.4 does not ensure the uniqueness of bundle IDs, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service (ID collision and launch outage) via a crafted universal provisioning profile app.

The weakness was shared 06/30/2015 by Zhaofeng Chen, Hui Xue and Tao Lenx Wei (WanderingGlitch) with Zero Day Initiative as HT20494 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-3722 since 05/07/2015. The attack may be launched remotely.
