A vulnerability was found in Django 1.4.20/1.7.8/1.8.2 (Content Management System) and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component Validators. The weakness was disclosed 07/08/2015 by Sjoerd Job Postmus as Security releases issued: 1.8.3, 1.7.9, 1.4.21 as confirmed news (Website). The advisory is shared at djangoproject.com. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the project team. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-5144 since 06/29/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.

It is assigned to the family Debian Local Security Checks. Upgrading to version 1.4.21, 1.7.9 or 1.8.3 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
